Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Eater app. By downloading or using Eater, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of the App
Eater is a recipe saving and resizing app intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the app
- Use the app in any way that could damage or impair its functionality
- Use the app to store or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content
2. Your Content
Recipes and notes you save in Eater are your own content. We claim no ownership over anything you create or store in the app.
You are responsible for ensuring that any recipes or content you save do not infringe on third-party copyrights. When saving recipes from other sources (websites, books, etc.), please respect the original author's rights.
3. Intellectual Property
The Eater app, including its design, interface, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.
4. App Store Terms
Eater is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for Eater or its content.
5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
If Eater offers premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions:
- All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Eater is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that ingredient scaling will be accurate for all edge cases. Always double-check ingredient amounts for critical cooking situations (e.g., baking chemistry, allergens).
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any errors in recipe scaling or data loss.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to Eater at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time.
